I am a James Rollins fan, I really am, a lot. If you rate this on a par with how much it costs, sure it was worth $.99. But being a writer myself, I don't believe that is how a story should be considered. Therefore, when the story ended at 50% of the way, and the other 50% was a preview for the next novel, well I felt a little misled. Also, nothing happens in this story. If this was character development to prepare for the upcoming novel, it fell short, in my opinion. I think this would have made a great first chapter instead of a novella. But that's just my opinion. I still can't wait for the next full length story.
