A Smudge of Gray: A Novel

A Smudge of Gray: A Novel - Jonathan Sturak no trees were killed for me to read that ebook.

The Beggar King (The Hangman's Daughter, #3)

The Beggar King (The Hangman's Daughter, #3) - Oliver Pötzsch, Lee Chadeayne Another excellent installment. This is my favorite series right now. Can't wait for the fourth one, Warlock. Keep writing, sir!

Kill Decision

Kill Decision - Daniel Suarez I just couldn't get into this book. First chapter had me feeling like an outsider.

A Wanted Man: A Jack Reacher Novel

A Wanted Man - Lee Child Finally made it through. I just don't see the appeal to the Reacher character. Too much boasting and killing of innocent people for me. Story had very little substance for me and what it did have, in my opinion, was quite implausible. I need a little more Non-Fiction in my Fiction novels.

A Hologram for the King

A Hologram for the King - Dave Eggers Didn't take anything away from this book.

Mud Sweat and Tears

Mud Sweat and Tears - Bear Grylls A good biography, not great. It describes, sometimes in minute detail the two main events that shaped him into who he is today. After that, there is a bit of a "get off my back" section and some nice photographs at the end. I would have rather had a "remember that time" kind of war story/close call, how he got that scar kind of book.

The Velveteen Rabbit

The Velveteen Rabbit - Margery Williams, William Nicholson My daughter and I read this. I don't remember reading it in the past, so it was a good experience for us to share. A very well written book, we both enjoyed it immensely.

Stay Close

Stay Close - Harlan Coben Great murder mystery with a collection of damaged characters. Didn't see the end coming until the end. Great read.

Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination that Changed America Forever

Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination that Changed America Forever - Martin Dugard, Bill O'Reilly If you want the same old facts, read this book. If you are looking for a fresh view, or interesting backstory, move on. Over 100 pages of non relevant material mixed with cookie cutter History 101.

The Affair (Jack Reacher 16)

The Affair - Lee Child a fair mystery but very long in the conclusion. Seemed to continue to circle the runway like it was afraid to land. That was my first Reacher book and probably my last.

Kill Shot (Mitch Rapp)

Kill Shot - Vince Flynn I got to about 40% in this book and thought it was good but I didn't see myself reading the rest of the series. At 90% I changed my mind and I can't wait to read another one.

The Cove: A Novel

The Cove - Ron Rash Another winner. No one captures southern culture better than Ron Rash.

Broken Harbour

Broken Harbour - Tana French Truly awesome read. Very complex plot that isn't given away fully till the end. You never know exactly who to suspect or what is real or imagined. A very finely crafted tale indeed.

A Blaze of Glory: A Novel of the Battle of Shiloh

A Blaze of Glory - Jeff Shaara great study of the people behind the action. I'm not a civil war person so the absence of tactics made this very spray appealing. I don't live far from Corinth, and after reading this I may have to visit there now.

Black List: A Thriller

Black List - Brad Thor A fairly good read. A little long on the dangers of technology and a little short on action for me.

SecondWorld

SecondWorld - Jeremy Robinson Read this book. Dont waste time with my review just get yourself a copy find s quiet place and get busy.
